From time to time, we'll stumble across something on the internet that makes our eyes widen and our skin tingle. But weeks later, as we're opening the package containing our eagerly anticipated purchase, we'll feel a faint sense of dread. Will it live up to our expectations? Will we feel assured that we didn't make a mistake? Or have we fallen victim to the hocus-pocus of high-production photography? Yesterday, we found ourselves delighted — borderline awestruck — by the touch, feel and character of an exceptionally crafted porcelain vessel that will shortly be offered for sale on Dims. Made using the finest, purest Amakusa clay, on the island of Kyushu, in a town that has been producing porcelain for over 400 years, this modest, functional container has made our month. Sneak peek above — coming soon to Dims.
