“Some new items for the home” was a room set designed by @jasper.morrison in 1988 for a Berlin exhibition in using bare plywood. The use of plywood, then (and still) considered unfashionable, alluded to 1930s plywood furniture designed by the Modernist pioneer Marcel Breuer (#marcelbreuer). The set succinctly embodied Modernist values — economy, efficiency and restraint — that in large part define our design ethos today (but with a touch more color). 😉
