The immaculately preserved studio of Milan's favorite son, Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002). Achille was a prolific and extraordinary designer, whose body of work (see: Snoopy Lamp, 1967) remains almost unfairly fresh today. He was known for reducing components to a minimum — taking away, rather than adding, in a creative process full of joy and humor. "Delete, delete, delete and at the end find the 'core aspect of the design'," he famously said. Nicknamed "Cici" by his peers, Achille was said to be a playful genius, a generous mentor and a highly empathic man.
