Strength training and compound movements are a great way to maximize the efficiency of a workout. 💪🏼
As women, it’s also important we work on balance and engaging our stabilizer muscles, especially since our center of gravity changes during pregnancy. 💪🏼
That said, as a certified group fitness instructor I see many people trying movements that are “complicated” or “fancy.” Even if it seems like a good idea, it really just increases our risk of injury without any real benefit. If you’re trying a new exercise that makes you feel unstable. Don’t do it! 💪🏼
But something like sitting on a #BOSU ball, both feet firmly planted on the floor while doing bicep curls is great. You will be secure while working on balance, strength and engaging those stabilizers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
