#Repost @imnotjamesbond⚡️⚡️ Over 5 hrs on 30 lb...read on: Working on the Gambler this season has been a hell of an experience; getting to learn from one of the best Captains on the coast and working alongside one of my best friends @teamrizo . Yesterday we were down in the zone where there's typically been smaller fish. Unknowing its size I hook and handed this fish to one of our clients Rick on basically a bass rod with only 30 lb. We immediately got spooled. Thankfully at Billy's direction I got another rod attached to it and we ditched it, my first time ditching a rod. I got the rod back after a bit and gave it back to Rick. For the next 5 1/2 hrs we tag teamed this fish, me getting some line back whenever Rick needed a break. Everything went right on this fish and that's what's so special, from the hook ending up in the corner to Billy's driving and Eugenes one shot only gaff shot in big seas, and most importantly Rick listening to a little coaching...this one should have swam away, but some are meant to be caught,...so stoked on the opportunity.
