World Oceans Day was started in 1992 by the United Nations to raise ocean health awareness and bring sustainable practices to the fishing industry. Many of us know the ocean as a place of leisure and fun and one that provides food to our table. However, just as our ocean faces a number of challenges, so does our community. And our ocean will thrive only if we all foster a vibrant, inclusive community that comes together to protect it. Please remember that whatever you throw out on the course will likely end up in our lakes, rivers, and, eventually, our oceans. 🙏 @turtlebaygolf @surfrider ⠀
