Motherhood, like womanhood, is a constant balancing act. To be firm yet kind, sensual yet self-effacing. To be as soft and delicate as lace without giving up our strength and support. Sometimes we have to choose—or a choice is made for us—but sometimes we can have it all. We can stand on both sides of the tightrope, embracing every aspect of ourselves.
