The pH of Oat Milk PHA serum is ~3.60, which makes the formula effective at exfoliating. However, we wouldn’t position the serum as an exfoliating serum, since it is also packed with anti-inflammatory ingredients and highly hydrating thanks to the 5% lactobionic acid + snow mushroom + glycerin. For any PHAs and AHAs, the exfoliating power is much dependent on the pH in relation to its pKa (for BHA/salicylic acid, not so much). If pH of a formula = to the pKa of the acid, then there is 50% of free acids, which is the ideal range for exfoliating (100% free acid would burn your face off, of course, so stronger/lower pH is not better). Lactobionic acid has a pKa of 3.80, so a 3.60 pH is indeed effective at exfoliating, with great hydration power, making our Oat Milk PHA Serum a great glow generator. . . . . . . ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #skincare #exfoliate #skincareroutine #salicylicacid #skincarecommunity #healthyskin #dailyskincare #acne #exfoliation #clearskin #glycolicacid #skinhealth #skincarescience #affordableskincare #alphahydroxyacid #skincareproducts #lacticacid #glowingskin #aha #skincaretip #pha #oatmilk #equalrxn #equalrxnskin #glowyskin #glow #goodskin #ph
