Liz is a HART (Hazardous Area Response Team) Paramedic based in the North East along with her new horse Ozzy and springer spaniel Ronnie.
In Sarah's own words "I only bought Ozzy at the beginning of November after selling my previous (and first) horse Ruby, an 11 year old ISH who I'd owned for almost 3 years.
The new guy on the block, Ozzy, is an 8 year old Anglo European dapple grey gelding & a massive 18.1hh - but he is an absolute gentle giant. I bought him from my instructor so was lucky enough to get to know him for a while at her yard before bringing him home. He comes from a showing background - which you could probably guess from his stand out looks! He has been professionally schooled and has jumped a whopping 1.30m previously. My aim for us is to get out eventing in 2021. I'll happily start at 80cm to build up my confidence although I'm sure he could easily go higher! Over the winter we'll be out and about for regular lessons, clinics and competitions to prepare us for next year and I'd also like to do some BD with him. It was always my childhood dream to have a horse that I could compete and have the transport to get us there and I feel so lucky to be in that position now and am so excited about our future together! Horses are the perfect antidote to my fast paced life & I'm so grateful to have Ozzy to enjoy. I also love a good hack and will often box up and head to the beach or a local spot to have a relaxing ride and just wind down from my day to day stresses. Of course I couldn't leave out Ronnie - my 1 year old springer spaniel. He accompanies me to the yard every day and comes along for rides & competitions so features often on my social media also 🙂"
