"Some of you may remember that I had a fall six weeks ago from my other horse Barney at Richmond Equestrian Centre. Well after a break and obeying the doctors orders, I took Bouncer to Alnwick Ford to do our first event since May!
I had no expectations and just wanted to enjoy the day. Dressage was up first and this is both mine and Bouncer’s least favourite phase. However we have been working hard and it showed for us to get a 34.5! Lots of praise when he finished and the dressage comments included ‘You were very happy with that test!’
Onto the fun part, the jumping. It was a testing course with not many clears in the showjumping! Bouncer made nothing of either of the courses to go double clear! We got a few time faults due to being held on course but we both finished smiling! It is so good to be back, with an added bonus of finishing just outside of the top 10!
We are heading off to Frickley Park next which is on my birthday of all days! Here’s to another good run!"
