33% of all food produced globally is lost or wasted every year. This is an enormous waste of resources such as water, land, fertiliser, labour and seeds and generates a tremendous amount of greenhouse gas emissions.
We need to switch things up and reduce that number. In fact, it's the third most effective way we could address climate change, according to Project Drawdown.
And whilst not all of that occurs in our home kitchens, a good chunk of it does. Globally, we waste around 1.3 billion tonnes of food every year.
