Every time we run out of something essential, we try and figure out if we can replace it with a more sustainable option. Well, we just finished the last of our bottled shampoo and conditioner, and while we've heard stories of people using apple cider vinegar and Castile soap or embracing the 'no poo' method we're not quite there yet.
