Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua: ‘I walk backwards into the future with my eyes fixed on my past'. The 6th of February in Aotearoa marks out Waitangi Day, the day in which in 1840, Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the treaty of Waitangi) was signed between representatives of the British Crown and more than 500 Māori chiefs. Te Tiriti o Waitangi drastically shaped the history of, and continues to play a significant role in the future of beautiful Aotearoa, a place we are honoured to call home. We are always looking to better support people and planet, pursuing true equity through celebrating and supporting Māori and indigenous people. As a company, we are working to add to our direct trade partnerships with indigenous communities around the world. We are actively looking to support community groups on a mission to support true equity in Aotearoa. And, we are always looking for Māori artists and creators interested in partnering with us on upcoming projects. As always, we would love to hear your feedback on how we can help, or how you think we could do better!
