Found the card of my first boss from my first job; at some point I added the sticky note “CONCISION” — which my English teacher in grade 12 gave me on the last day of school. She wrote it out, handed it to me, and said something like: you’re great kid, just tighten it up a bit, okay?
I heard her loud and clear. It’s poetic, no? That you can fit a career and the lesson you need to learn before you can pursue it all on a business card (and a sticky note).
