I’m having a lot of fun posting these. I was down for a surf trip in Costa Rica at @witchsrocksurf; it was great, but after two days I managed to hurt my intercostals, and was done surfing for the rest of the week. I could, however, still take pics!
Getting injured might be my way of letting myself take the vacation I actually need. I’d like to, yknow, skip the injury part and just do the vacationing part, but all in due time. Accepting where I’m at is really hard, for reasons that make sense to me finally. Accepting that I need rest is, for the same reasons, even harder.
It’s just accepting, too. There’s no puzzle to solve here. The answer is there, and I’ve learned to not listen to it for fear of what I have to say. Without listening, it turns out it’s impossible for me to find myself somewhere I wanna be. But what a scary thing to finally begin to ask about. Even on vacation in Costa Rica, it’s scary.
I’ve been learning Landslide on guitar this last year: “Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?”
Thanks @casandraccampbell and Jon for having me at your spot in nosara!
