A message from our Co-Founder @gingerressler 💜💪
“Raising a daughter makes me pause when it comes to International Women’s Day. It makes me understand that I’m not just talking about this generation of women but the girls who will one day be the NEXT.
Of course it is important to be recognized TODAY, to have have a seat at the table so we can celebrate our differences, and to be included in ALL conversations so we can #embraceequity, all of that is a non-negotiable. What I think we don’t spend enough time talking about is how we need this community of women to build each other up. Too often we only focus on gender vs. gender collision, but what I have been seeing across the board, is a lot of women being “every woman for themselves.” In this race to be recognized, we have sometimes turned our backs on OUR OWN community.
We are nothing without our squad, tribe, and sisterhood. So, here are some things I’m self mantra-ing 🧘♀️today:
-Let’s re-define strength to not be in only the physical or the financial, but the mental and emotional as well. 💆♀️ 💕
-Let’s set examples for our daughters, nieces, granddaughters, cousins and little sisters!👧🏻👧🏼👧🏼👧🏽👧🏾👧🏿👧
-Let’s celebrate victories whether they are our own or others.
-Let’s be genuine.”
