No funny puns from us today, just a bit of a sad announcement we really hoped we didn’t have to make: next week we’ll be closing our Seven Dials boutique for good and go back to being online only.
When we opened the shop in 2019, it was a real dream come true for me - a welcoming, intimate space in Central London to meet customers old and new and help them find activewear which would make them feel strong and confident. For the first few months, we got to meet people from all around the world and it was everything I’d hoped for and more.
Not even 6 months later, COVID hit and it turned everyone’s world upside down. We were closed almost as long as we were open, and with every lockdown ending, hoped that this would be the last time. Sadly, tourists haven’t returned, offices have remained empty and the streets have been quiet throughout. We have fought relentlessly to keep our doors open, but ultimately, that choice was taken away from us.
So, with a little baby boy on the way in the next few months, I’ve decided to move Fashercise back into my home (sorry, husband!), where it began all those years ago, and focus on the running of the online business alongside becoming a mum.
We will be closing our doors one last time on Thursday 22nd of July. Until then we’ll be open weekdays only, from 11am -6pm daily. From next Monday to Thursday, we’ll also be hosting a small sample sale in store.
In the next few weeks we’ll also be relaunching with a brand new website to mark this new beginning.
I really want to thank our landlords @shaftesbury for creating an area in London where small businesses like mine can open and thrive, and for all their support over the last year. Seven Dials is a true gem in a big city like London, and I hope you will continue to support the many other small businesses in the area who are all working tirelessly to survive this pandemic.
Thank you to all our customers who visited our little shop these past 2 years, your support has meant the world to us. As sad as the ending of this chapter is, we’re very excited to start the next one as well.
