As a student you need to be prepared for everything & anything, so on any given day this is what I carry in my scrubs/lab coat: a reference to keep my facts straight and prescription doses on hand, notebooks to write down pearls of wisdom from my preceptors, my reflex hammer (because really who has time to look for one?), a ruler for measuring wounds, and the essentials to keep me going: snacks, eye drops, and my yellow stress ball/brain.
