Thrilled with my little wins. #imdoingit #day3 . . . No one can tell us how to grieve. No one can understand until their in our shoes. They will not understand that being a cheerleader during hard times can be toxic instead of conducive to the support we actually need. They will not understand much of this at all... and that’s alright. In fact, for those who can’t understand. Count your blessings. Hug someone you love. Give a phone call to someone who would love to hear from you. Listen to a friend who may need an ear to vent to. . Today is day 3 of working out again and I am beyond proud of myself. Something that came so easy, something that I used to have extreme anxiety over if I missed 1 single day out of my normal routine... none the less 51 days consecutively. To the others out there who may be dealing with loss, depression, grief, etc... I see you. I hear you. I support you. . Depression has no face. We are not alone. I lost all motivation and struggled severely with getting back into my everyday life routine. Shoot, I still am. Let’s be real. It went from extreme wedding highs mixed with the lowest of lows. Seeing my best friend/father decline day after day, and rapidly losing hope because his treatments were not giving us any hope for his future. As he was declining so was I. I lost all control of my life and his situation became my only priority. I was able to muster the strength to recognize all of this where others may struggle (and that’s ok). . There are many different types of depression that people suffer from on a daily basis and it needs to be normalized. If your little win is getting a workout in again, be proud of yourself. I know I am. If it’s gaining the energy to shower, brush your teeth, cook a meal, get out of bed, anything... let it be known that I’m proud of you! . 💙 fleoshorts Thank you for my feel good packages. These are also the little things that make me feel happy, and remind me of how grateful I am to have you as family!! 💙
