✨Do you INSIST on doing something...even if it hasn’t gotten you the results you want?
👉🎙Swipe to listen!
Here are two very tangible and frequent examples:
1️⃣“Counting calories gives me a sense of control.”
...Even if they aren’t as lean as they’d like and feel stressed about “not screwing up” at each meal.
These perceived feelings of control don’t automatically equate to achieving the goal.
2️⃣“I need to workout for X amount of time and just want to sweat in workouts or it doesn’t count.”
...A common thing a diehard cardio lover may say even if their joints hurt, hormones are thrown off, and they can’t seem to reshape their body in the way that they want.
There’s nothing wrong with having preferences and certainly there are lots of things that can work (for a short period of time).
However, if you’re sticking to your guns with a certain philosophy and you’re not getting the results you want and/or you hate it and/or it’s driving you insane... Perhaps it’s time for a new approach.
You are the only master of your body.
Not a calculator.
Not the clock.
Nothing and no one else.
If you insist on doing things a certain way, how is that working for you?
💛It’s ok to not have it mastered yet. It takes practice, but allow yourself the time and space to understand the intentions behind why you do what you do.
