2 years of growth + a little behind the scenes of my head 🙌🏼
—
2 years ago I just wanted to be small. The scale ruled my life. I weighed around 125lbs and was semi-strong. But I cared more about what I looked like than I did actually getting strong. I cared about competing at the smallest weight class I could fit in to. I was beginning to learn to love myself, but definitely still didn’t. I hated the way I looked most days and was never good enough. Yes, I understand now how that sounds.

2 years and 20lbs later. Now I care about being strong. Like really strong. The scale is just a tool. One way to track progress. I’ve gone up 2 weight classes (really just one, but I stopped cutting 🤷🏼♀️). I’m pretty happy with who I am and a whole lot more confident. Because I allowed myself to grow. And have discovered who I am along the way

This has been a journey. Change didn’t happen overnight. There have been phases. There have been good days and bad days. I have had to learn to be patient. I have learned to trust the process. It hasn’t been easy. But I am seeing that it is all worth it now. And I can’t wait to continue to grow and get stronger. This is just the beginning 💪🏼
