I don’t ever post stuff like this but listen A client this morning texted me saying someone messaged her saying that her progress pics were triggering. That she shouldn’t post them but rather post about how she feels. Evidently these progress pictures deliver the message that she had a problem with the way she looked before. Side note…Ironically, not too long ago I also got a message about how I shouldn’t push my agenda on people. I am very careful about how I deliver information. I have a diverse group of clients that are in different places in their journey. I guess I’m too now triggered 😂because I have a problem with how sensitive this world has become. You can’t post or say anything without being criticized for it even if it’s positive. Body acceptance it’s tricky…should it exist? Honestly not at the expense of your health. If you notice body acceptance goes through trends and doesn’t care about your health. For example, people were once praised for being sooo skinny…now it’s the more curves the better…or not even curves anymore yet 300lb 5ft 5” deemed clinically obese being praised Something is wrong here Body acceptance in mainstream media also doesn’t include muscular women. The amount of girls that are too manly and are completely healthy aren’t accepted either. Body acceptance begins and ends with YOU. So do you see….this journey can’t be about body acceptance but rather you accepting your body. My journey started because I didn’t like the way I looked. It’s FACTS. The result is that I felt so much better and so I continued the journey. In fact this picture, I’m not the most shredded and I struggle with “keeping up with” a certain image. But I am healthy. Be careful that everything in life is NOT about your body. But life can be so much more enjoyable when you have the body that allows you to live life. Love yourself through it all. THIS ⬆️ focus on this and let go of the rest and leave people alone For every negative you are in fact reaching and inspiring others that they too can make moves. Post the progress. Be proud of yourself. #makemoves #meagamoves #bodyacceptance #bekind #fitness #health
