I wanted to give myself some time to try and find the words that can accurately describe what this means to me, but I am still at a loss so here goes…
If you know me, you know I am incredibly competitive, a perfectionist, and always up for a challenge. When I started CrossFit I had no real expectations for myself. After participating in the CrossFit open last year, I realized exactly what I wanted out of CrossFit: I wanted to be better than I was the day before. I wanted to lift heavier than I did the week before. I wanted to be able to rope climb & do pull-ups & handstand walk & maybe even get a couple of double unders. I wanted to prove to myself that nothing is impossible…
I realized after watching jennyhull11 mary.l.cortez.7 notalk_justted belmoredavid robynozuna glendvai do MORE work AFTER the workouts that I needed to put in the extra work too. So I did. I welcomed any and all advice from whoever would offer it. If it wasn’t veraadelle helping me with double unders, it was rachelmoore.dpt walking me through cycling toes to bar (&being my forever partner 😍) and shellychapple telling me to go one more time. But at the end of the day I owe a huge thank you to: coachazmatt who never laughed in my face when I would tell him my dreams and goals, no matter how far out of reach they may have been at the time. He always made me feel like I could do anything and that was a game changer for me!
alexis.kyser who is without a doubt my biggest inspiration. She is the ultimate athlete and to make her proud is basically my only aspiration in life. I’ll take every opportunity to pick her brain.
gordon_hare who is my rock! I would have never known this gym or these people if it weren’t for him. He keeps me fed with all of the right things, supports my fleo addiction, no matter how expensive it may get, and always pushes me to go harder, lift heavier, run further/faster, and basically be better. He gives me back massages when I complain about being sore and lets me sleep in on days he knows I need it.
To sum it up, I’m truly honored to be surrounded by such amazing people ♥️
