My face when I get a new client and they say they are eating 1200 calories a day… 😬 The thing is, if you say you are eating 1200 calories and not losing weight or making progress, most likely it’s because you are 1 of 2 cases. 1. You’re not actually eating 1200 calories a day. If you do not weigh or have never weighed your food, chances are you are off a couple hundred calories. For example: guesstimate a table spoon of peanutbutter, then go weigh it on a scale 😅 2. You are eating 1200 calories WHEN you do track. Then the weekend/holiday/date night happens and your body is so hungry, or you put certain foods on a pedestal that you have an “all or nothing mindset”. Meaning, you will binge that night but be back on the 1200 calorie lifestyle tomorrow. Causing you to constantly be yo yo dieting. It takes time to really develop a healthy relationship with food. I had some people ask me yesterday what my macro split was after I posted my check in picture. The thing is, we just decided we are going to Reverse Diet, adding about 40g more carbs and 10g more fat. That is something that in the past would scare me. Like… “you’re saying we are NOT going to be in a deficit and trying to lose weight?!?” I blame much of this mindset on society teaching us at a young age millions of quick fix diets or how to get smaller. I love that I am at a place where I’m hoping to just get stronger 💪🏼 If you are looking for a lifestyle shift, not a 30 day quick fix, come join us blackironnutrition 📸 olivia.grace.productions
