📍 happy place
One thing I have done recently is stop following people who make me feel a type of way. Some of the reason is pure jealously on my end. We’re human, and certain posts trigger me to feel.. idk… less. It really is the ol, “it’s not you it’s me”. Which made me wonder if any of my posts trigger people who are trying to get started on a fitness journey, but my posts make it look like I’m standing at the top of the mountain and they are just starting to tie their hiking books. Not saying I would make ANYONE feel less, but I’d imagine someone who never ran a mile or walked into a gym might think some posts I make about workouts or certain runs to feel.. idk.. less.
I guess what I’m trying to say here is I hope whatever I put out is encouraging. I post half of this content so that girls see how empowering fitness can be. It’s changed my life- mostly mentally. But, also, to be as true and honest that my life may SEEM really together by looking at my feed. But, I’m just as anxious, insecure, trying-to-figure-it-all-out as the rest of us.
So, this is just me smiling in my happy place bc it’s the one space that makes me feel most alive. And hopefully encourages someone to step into a gym for the first time, sign up for that race, or walk a mile- because it will be the best thing you’ll do today.
Happy Friday ❤️
