Yesterday I mentioned that social media is just a snapshot of life, a highlight reel.
It’s SO easy to play the comparison game when all you see is the highlight reel version of someone’s journey or story.
Yesterday my dear friend was helping me gather content and when I started reviewing my photos, my eyes immediately went to the things I knew I’d be hesitant to post. In fact, I immediately made a negative comment about myself in this photo.
And then I knew I had to post it to be honest and real with you all, and to show that life is SO much more than just one picture or highlight reels. I’m more than just my insta-worthy moments. Life is so much richer because of that.
Friends, I say to you as I say to myself- you are worth so much more than negative thoughts over one picture. It doesn’t take away from your worth, your journey, or your progress.
Please don’t let comparison to an unrealistic expectation of an insta-worthy life hold you captive. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. ❤️
