Sometimes I feel like I’ve lived so many lives in such a short period of time. Honestly, I get caught up in “how it looks” a LOT - I always have. But that thought process of living my life in a way that’s not true to myself has never served me.
It may have taken some years (and many mistakes) to figure that out, but for the first time in my life I actually feel like I’m making decisions that *I* want to make.
Not what other people think I should make.
Not what people tell me is “safe” or the “right choice”.
Not what looks good to people on social media.
Because honestly, there is no “right choice”.
The right choice will look different for everyone. And even for myself, what I thought was right for me at the time was what I felt then. It’s okay if that grows and changes over time.
Like my therapist always says, “you made the best decision you could with the information you had at the time.”
You’re not bound to one life, or a version of yourself that doesn’t quite fit you anymore. I feel like that’s always gotten lost on me in the midst of changing myself for other people in my life. And all that’s resulted in was me not truly knowing myself or feeling unfulfilled by other peoples choices.
Your feelings & decisions don’t have to make sense to anyone but you - and you’re allowed to change your mind (and your life) as many times as you want ✨
