I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I love. Most days, in my frustration of where I “should” be, I am reminded that nothing matters if it does not glorify God. When I start to put my worth in what I can do, how much I can lift, how fast I can run, or how my body looks, that’s where the enemy wants me. he wants me so focused on myself and thinking about how I can never measure up or be enough. he’s right. I am not enough, but Christ is. What Jesus did for me on the cross is enough. For all of us. I alone will never be enough and that’s okay. But my Savior has taken every weight and sin off of me, nailed it to the cross, and defeated it through His resurrection. In Him I have life, joy, peace, and forgiveness. By His grace I have been saved. And it’s through nothing I can do or achieve on my own, but because of His love for us, He has set us free. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. “ ⁃ Hebrews 12:1-2 I am humbled daily by this sport. This is a blessing from God to move my body. This is an opportunity for me to share the good news about Jesus with others. My joy is not in my circumstances, but in Christ alone. To Him be the glory forever and ever. 📸 digital.kirsten
