“What’s it like competing alongside your partner?”
We’ve done two thegranitegames and now canwestgames this past weekend together. To say it’s easy would be a lie, this sport is selfish and you have to put yourself first when you’re competing.
But being in a relationship with someone who is also competing puts a lot into perspective. It makes you remember to be excited and happy even if your weekend isn’t going as planned.
It reminds you that the way you carry yourself significantly affects the people who are closest to you.
It’s also an absolute blast seeing the person you love most just smash the weekend.
I’m still a work in progress with all of this, but I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.
