Tracking Tip Tuesday!! 👍
Are you sabotaging your own weight loss and fitness goals?😳
You may be your own worst enemy and not even realize it!
In an age of instant everything from Door Dash to same day delivery from Amazon, we aren’t required to practice patience. Our patience muscle doesn’t get a workout.
Patience is the name of the game in nutrition and fitness. 👈
Are you someone who starts a new diet or workout program only to quit by the end of the first week? Maybe you thought it should be working already and since it didn’t you want to try something new next week. Like maybe the latest diet “Emily” at work is doing. So the following week you are on to something else. 🤦♀️
By hoping on and off diets and fitness plans you never give one plan enough time to actually work. You never practice consistency and patience so how do you know if it works or not?🤷♀️
If you haven’t been consistent then you can’t say it didn’t work!
Here are some of my personal examples of practicing (working) on my patience muscle:
✅ A typical PR in powerlifting can take years to achieve! One time a bench press PR took me 1.5 years of work!
✅ I have worked with my coach megscanlift for over 2 years! I don’t jump ship and change coaches on a whim.
✅ I dealt with a hip/back issue for 2 years, all the while continuing to train and compete and focus on ways I can heal.
✅ I have tracked my food and maintained and lost weight consistently for 5+ years!
All of this to say, don’t quit at the first sign things aren’t going your way. If you were driving and stuck in traffic would you pull off the road and stop? No! You would keep going toward your destination, no matter how slow and how long it took you! Play the long game with your Nutrition and fitness. 💪
