💪🏻 Looking for that first Pull Up or Muscle Up?! Following a proper training program to ensure proper progressions are made is important. Just as important is your nutrition to fuel that training! ⛽️ Here’s some tips from cbg_online_nutrition jrome_cbg - You need to improve your body weight to strength ratio. Simply put, if you do not have the strength in the muscles involved in vertical pulling that are designed to handle your body weight, pull ups will be a challenging endeavor for you. Losing body fat (not weight) will improve your body weight to strength ratio. To get your first pull-up or muscle up you need to lose mostly body fat and little muscle. Prioritizing protein in your diet will allow you to keep muscle and recover your muscle post WOD. Try to hit your body weight daily. You will also need carbs to get your first pull-up or muscle up. Carbs help fuel our muscles for our workouts. It's the best fuel for our WODs hands down. I recommend 1.5g of carbs per pound of body weight. If you workout more you'll need more. Your first pull-up or muscle up will likely be a one rep max. Creatine supplementation during training can increase gains in 1-repetition maximum (1RM) strength and power. It will help with other lifts too. Take 5g of creatine monohydrate daily.
