First triple toe in my new skates! I really surprised myself here, I love skating, I do, but it hasn’t loved me back lately and some days it’s just been hard to even get out there let alone feel good about my skating. The way I skate has changed, there’s a lot I can’t do anymore and some days I can’t do the stuff I can normally do. For some reason new skates REALLY freaked me out this time around, and it took awhile to feel over my feet on the basics. The hard jumps were coupled with fear, which was really new for me, but I refused to let my head get in the way when of when my body actually felt capable! I am going to have to keep fighting some demons, because that may have been the best feeling triple toe I’ve done in months!
