I heard a tip recently that I loved so I wanted to share. 👇 When it comes to diet, ✨add✨ don’t subtract. What does this mean? Let’s say I’m craving chocolate. 🍫 Instead of restricting myself and saying “no, you can’t have chocolate because it’s too calorie dense”, I’ll instead… ▪️ Pick out a mindful serving of chocolate ▪️ Add a protein source to help me feel full (in this case, maybe greek yogurt) ▪️ Add some fruits or vegetables in to make it more nutrient dense (in this case, strawberries and blueberries) Instead of trying to eliminate foods that are high calorie and low nutrient density (which tends to lead to binge eating or other negative habits), I just make sure to add in foods that will add benefit my health and make me feel good. For most of us, saying you can *never* have a certain food is a sure way to obsess over said food. This method helps to create balance which will help physically and mentally on your journey. 🌱 If you feel like you need support in this area, I’d love to help you find your balance and finally take control of your health. If you are interested in 1:1 nutrition coaching or personal training, send me a DM! 😘 themovemeantdavenport • themovemeantmoline 📸: nooshie__
