Why is this true? Sprinting for 10 minutes (10 rounds of up to 30 seconds on, up to 90 seconds off) is more effective for fat loss and muscle growth than high intensity interval training and moderate intensity interval training because: 🔗it creates a significant metabolic disturbance 🔗it uses fat and glucose for energy (aka stored body fat and some carbs you eat) 🔗your body continues to use stored fat for energy after the session 🔗it doesn’t make you as hungry afterwards (which can cause someone to eat themselves out of a calorie deficit/maintenance) Other benefits include: 🔗less time commitment 🔗no equipment needed 🔗adaptable for all skill levels (you can start with your fastest walk/jog) 🔗decreases inflammation in the brain and can improve hormone balance for some If you feel like doing more than 5-10 minutes of cardio on the stairmaster or elliptical is pure torture, stop. Go outside or get on a treadmill, bike or ski erg and SPRINT like your life depends on it. Yes, it’s hard. And you should be literally running/biking/moving for your life - any half assed workout is a waste of time. And no, you cannot “sprint” for your life while doing high knees. Sprints are a full body exercise! My full body strength training program has sprints 2x per week 😇 Comment SHREDGUIDE to join and stay on track to becoming your best self in 2024! #cardiotraining #sprints #sprinting #cardioworkouts #strengthtrainingforwomen #femalefitness #fitnesstransformation #fitnessjourney #fatloss #fatlosstips #fatlosshelp #musclegrowth #musclegrowthtips #leanmuscle #leanmusclemass #highproteindiet #sportsnutritionist #sportsnutrition #tonedbody #tonedarms #tonedlegs #femalefitnesscoach #workoutreels #workoutmotivation #gymmotivation #workoutvideos #gymgirl #bodycomposition #bodyrecomp #bodyrecomposition
