This year I finally felt like I had a home here in the Netherlands. It hasn’t been all rainbows and fairytales moving to another country. A lot of the times I miss home, the mountains, my momma most of all. It can be really lonely learning a new language and culture. But finally 3.5 years later it’s starting to feel like my second home.
I could have never known when I accepted my job as head coach crossfitzwolle two years ago that my second family would be here. I made so many great friends, finally got some competitions in, passed my Dutch immigration exam, got to workout with the best of misfitathletics including paige_semenza 🥹, traveled with dear friends and family, won the Gent throwdown w/ susanplakke, and overall I just LIVED. I don’t know how any year could ever top this year, but let’s see what you got for me 2024 💗
