One of our co-founders, Tal, recently climbed Mt. Whitney as part of a fundraiser for @big_city_mountaineers (BCM), an organization that takes under-resourced youth backpacking. BCM's mission is to bring kids out of their comfort zones and into the wild, where they develop the confidence needed for more promising futures.

"It was a powerful experience, and not always easy. But the boys' hard armor melted at the sight of mountains they didn't know existed. Kids became kids again, playing in the snow and swimming in the lakes. I couldn't believe how quickly nature could heal. Seeing teenagers forget about their cell phones for a week and have a snow-fight for the first time in their lives or say 'I feel like I can be myself out here', melted my heart."
