The Quonset Hut design was first developed during WWII. The huts had the benefit of a flexible open floor plan that allowed for many different uses, and could be adapted easily over time. Hundreds of thousands were produced during this period and the surplus was later sold to the public. Floyd recently took a tour of a collection of newly constructed huts, inspired by the original designs, that were just completed here in Detroit. Designed by @edwinchan323 of EC3 and developed by @princeconcepts, the units are unique live/work spaces with thoughtful design (& plenty of light). More photos to come this week!
