If you are comfortable with your hairdresser, and especially if you see the same one frequently, consider asking him/her to let you know if they notice any unusual moles that may be asymmetrical, changing color, or bleeding on your scalp or neck. They have an excellent view, and you probably see them more often than your doctor or dermatologist. Your hairdresser could be your first line of defense against skin cancer. -Lisa Best
