This week has rocked me to my core. I always pray for growth in my own life but I didn’t see it coming in this way, so my apologies for not showing up on our feed in this way until now.
I asked the question last week on my personal account “what else don’t I know?”. So I spent this week quietly digging into that very question. Listening, reading, asking questions and just simply connecting. And what I’ve learned has devastated me. I can not and I will not ignore it.
I can promise you that I will continue to educate myself, strive for personal connections within the black community, and keep my ears, eyes, and heart open to finding our place and becoming active in the fight against racism.
I will be inserting myself in the @ywcaevansville in some way. I do not have an answer to in what way that is just yet. But it will happen.
I appreciate all of the messages and texts this week holding me accountable and asking me for my plan of action. I see you doing your part and I appreciate you.
