Do you know how much money I have spent on jewelry (prior to starting Folklor) in my lifetime... $1000's and $1000's of dollars worth. I would buy lots of inexpensive pieces with little to no value (but it adds up); in the moment they were mindless purchases... ones that were cheap enough that I didn't feel guilty, but also ones that were cheap that they weren't cherished. ⠀

With time they faded (literally) and so did my appeal for them and eventually they ended up in the trash, or in the hands of my daughter. ⠀

I wish I had ignored those impulses and invested in pieces that had value and held it; both from a sentimental and monetary perspective.⠀
