Oh hi there - as of late, there are a lot of new faces and friends in this space.
So I thought I would (re)introduce myself for those I do not know.
I am a daughter, a wife, a mother and a friend, but most of all, I am Megan. Behind the screen, I am just a normal woman trying to balance work (employment + running a small business), family and existing day-to-day in a global pandemic.
Here are some tidbits to help you get to know me:
1) I am from east coast Canada and try to incorporate pieces of me and home into my curations, whenever possible;
2) I work fulltime at Shopify and love my job;
3) I am an avid reader and am always looking for new book recommendations (give them to me!);
4) Whenever possible, I try to get outside and move my body to help clear my mind;
4) I love supporting local and often sprinkle some of my favourite items/businesses in my stories;
4) I started Folklor in October, 2019, as a passion project through my love of hunting for amazing vintage treasures.
But most importantly, I love this little community. It is more to me than a transaction if someone is united with their perfect piece. I feel invested in every treasure I curate and love the idea that they are going to a home where they will be cherished long-term. To find the perfect connection, I showcase the jewels on, in motion and styled. During the process I often end up sharing the ridiculousness of my day-to-day life during the pandemic (or otherwise) and love getting to know each and every one of you.
One my key missions is to make this experience intimate, personal and special. I love to see photos of you unboxing your new treasures and seeing them out in the wild.
