"After many heartbreaks and wasted tears in my 25 years I decided to take my favorite poem "She Walks In Beauty" by Lord Byron and amend it to "I Walk In Beauty". I read it to myself when I feel my heart falter. I then came across @fredandfar and my life and perspective on self love changed even greater! I am now even more confident to enjoy my life just the way it is, for what it is, and to take everything for what it will be...look to the future! ?
I Walk in Beauty
I walk in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in my aspect and my eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er my face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent! ?
