Bet they wouldn't have guessed back then that one day we would grow our own diamonds and cut them in this old style! Generally the rough, even when grown from a machine, dictates the appropriate shape of cut. A thin slab is a good candidate. Photographed here is one from our collection: a 0.57 ct Smoky Beige Half Moon. We think this would look very cool in a custom piece with a line of colourless diamonds set next to the flat edge of this stone. .
