We asked photographer @russelljames what he has to shout about!
What is your self care mantra? A combo of physical and mental well-being every day: running, walking or yoga. Getting creative: photographing. Creativity is literally everywhere.
What’s your go to pick me up?
Matcha Latte - totally industry cliche. Guilty!
What couldn’t you live without?
Matcha Latte and a body of water. Could be an ocean, might be a stream, a pond or even a pool. Maybe I was a fish in another life. It’s all about water for me.
If you could brush your teeth with anyone, who would it be and why?
Mohammed Ali, because I’m so in awe of his excellence, determination and activism. Notorious Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who continuously fights for change. Both are warriors with heart and soul. Both shook up the world.
Aside from toxins in your toothpaste, what other toxic things, places and people do you try to avoid?
I try avoid toxic products and toxic points of view. With far more focus and transparency about what’s in the products we all put on our skin, eat or in some other way consume, I try to make choices that are less toxic.
As a modern mouth, what do you want to shout about?
What really matters. This crisis is terrible, however it has also reinforced my love and appreciation for family and friends. For every day I take a photograph, I feel gratitude and appreciation. For every person I connect with, I actually care enormously when I ask about themselves. I want to take those values forward after this passes, and it shall pass! ❤️
