Operating out of his small apartment in Highland Park, Los Angeles, Sterling Bartlett is a long time Globe collaborator, artist, designer, bread baker, and hot sauce maker. For this two board series, Bartlett, hamstrung by coronavirus restrictions was unable to produce work with the aid of his local art reproduction house as he usually would. These limitations led Bartlett to employ a work flow inspired by the late artist Romare Bearden: Half collage, half painting.
