When a Honeybee stings a person, it cannot pull the barbed stinger back out. Not only does she leave behind the stinger but also part of the abdomen, digestive tract, muscles and nerves. This massive abdominal rupture kills the Bee. Also, honeybees are the only species to die after stinging!
