Photographer @maka_iriek travelled to the same Spanish village where she found a 100-year-old box of photos taken by one of her ancestors, to build on the portraits of strong women she found from over a century ago.
"Caliza – the project’s title – references the characteristic limestone that is found in the Subbaetic Sierras of southern Spain, where these works have been photographed.
