“The strangest thing about Pyongyang was the colour of the sky. The sun was quite soft, which created really beautiful tones for the sky and the buildings – I guess it had something to do with the smog created over that part of the world. The city sounds are quite hard to describe. It was quiet but at the traditional peak hour times there was the usual flurry of activity. There are a lot of bicycles but very few cars..." Australian photographer Nicole Reed has an incredible eye for captivating travel photography and a deep passion for architectural photography. So when she was approached to collaborate on a photo book capturing the hotels of North Korea, she couldn’t believe it.
