▲ I couldn't believe my eyes as the aurora rippled from one end of the sky to the other, so I jumped in the frame for a moment. To give you an idea of how bright this was, a standard star photo will generally be a 30 second exposure to allow for enough light to enter the camera. This shot here was a mere 8 seconds. There was a geomagnetic storm occurring, lighting up the Icelandic earth green for hours on end. I remember so vividly the way the lights ripples and pulsated, moving like the ocean.
