The first leg of adamskolnick and I’s western winter roadtrip consisted of a few days up the central coast of California. We’ve spent hours watching newborn elephant seal pups nurse off their mamas, as well as seeing males violently fight for their right to mate with females who have just given birth... yep, brutal. We also marveled at the ridiculous yet surprisingly impressive details of Hearst Castle, where we spotted zebras galloping and grazing amongst the cattle on the ranch, and ended today watching the sunset over the ocean opposite a hard flowing McWay Falls.
